    Edgbaston Area Guide

    Location

Edgbaston is an affluent suburban area of central Birmingham, curved around the southwest of the city centre and is bordered by Moseley to the South East and by Smethwick and Winson Green to the North West. Edgbaston is famous for many reasons, including the celebrated Edgbaston Stadium. Some of the biggest matches in cricket history have been played at the Stadium. England has played at Edgbaston on numerous occasions. This year, Edgbaston Stadium will host the world-famous Ashes test series between England and Australia.

If the Australian team want to admire some beautiful natural scenery while in Edgbaston, the majestic Cannon Hill Park is just a few steps from Edgbaston Stadium. This fantastic park plays host to a number of wonderful festivals which typically involve a selection of delicious food. It is also the perfect place to go for a relaxing walk, where you can soak in the calm and tranquility that only immaculately kept trees and flower beds can bring.

Golfers will be relieved to learn that Edgbaston has an elite golf club, which doubles as a brilliant venue to host events, once you’ve finished on the course. Other exclusive clubs in the area include The Edgbaston Priory Club.
